Shakespeare’s beautiful tragedy

“To be, or not to be, that is the question…” — a phrase uttered by Prince Hamlet in Shakespeare’s longest play and among the most powerful and influential tragedies in English literature. On May 19, in the spanking new 600-seat auditorium of Epsom College in Malaysia at Bandar Enstek, the story of Hamlet was brought to life by a group of 12 talented men and women on a mission…to perform this famous Shakespearean play in 205 countries over a period of two years. Malaysia was their 97th destination, Thailand next. Their journey is supported by the British Council and British High Commission in Malaysia. Tickets were sold out within the first week they went on sale on Epsom College’s website. Many Epsom students therefore turned into groundlings by choice and the idea sat very well with the crew and students.

A brainy fun day!

THE brain – the mother of all our organs – is one of our most prized possessions. However, not many truly understand its functions. The recent Enfagrow A+ Brain Expo 2015, organised by Mead Johnson Nutrition, from May 9-11 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centrehas aimed to educate the public raise awareness about the importance of early neural development in children besides unlocking the potential genius in each and every one.

I Make Food That Tell a Story

Food that tell a story: Samantha Lee’s passion for food art kick-started about six years ago when she had to devise a way for her daughter to eat independently. Disapproving the spoonfeeding method which most Asian parents used to make their kids eat faster, Samantha began transforming food into cute little art that ultimately attracted her daughter! I am a slow eater too and I wish my mum had used this method on me when I was young, but well, that’s another story.
