HAVE you ever experienced having a thought in your mind but not being able to find a way to express it with words? Well, you know what? Pictures help. I love travelling and capturing nature, especially the sky and the sea, through the lens of my camera. Love for art have always been there, deep in me. I really love nature, as it is something so beautifully created, and it heighten my interest in capturing pictures.
I love posting pictures without captions to create a sense of obscurity — letting people figure it out themselves, like a piece of artwork, for them to navigate themselves the beauty of the abstract. Every one has their own story behind every picture. At least mine does. Pictures speak a thousand words, they say. It’s okay that nobody understands, just let it be. It is just a method of expression. This is why I strongly believe in what Elliot Erwitt once said : the whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things with words.”
On the other hand, I’m a film lover too. So, it’s surprising if I say that I wish to make those pictures I capture move, like a movie, to voice out all sorts of things that has happened in life regardless of a film’s genre. It doesn’t matter if you are not a good speaker as there are alternative ways to express yourself and share positivity. I was enthralled by how visually captivating movies can be since, especially visual effects movies like Transformers and Fast & Furious. There are so many awesome directors that I admire, such as Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton, Alfred Hitchcock and Hanung Bramantyo.
It was and is my dream to become a film director one day. For a person who isn’t good at talking like me, I believe it is an alternative way to voice out issues and thoughts that have been wandering in my mind throughout my life.
